          <p>Nginx, das Unternehmen hinter dem beliebten quelloffenen Webserver, hat auf seiner Hausmesse <b>nginx.conf [1]</b> den Application Server Nginx Unit vorgestellt. <b>Nginx Unit [2]</b> soll sich besonders f&#252;r verteilte Anwendungen auf der Grundlage von Microservices eigenen. Seine REST-API erlaubt es, neue Versionen einer Anwendung oder ver&#228;nderte Konfigurationen ohne Unterbrechung des Dienstes zu starten. Derzeit unterst&#252;tzt Nginx Unit die Programmierung mit PHP, Python und Go; weitere Sprachen sollen folgen.</p>

Der ebenfalls neue <b>Nginx Controller [4]</b> &#252;bernimmt das zentrale Management und Monitoring der kommerziellen Nginx-Variante Nginx Plus. Er steuert unter anderem f&#252;r Lastverteilung und Inhalts-Caching. Die Kombination aus Nginx Plus, Nginx Unit und dem Nginx Controller vermarktet der Hersteller als <b>Nginx Application Platform [5]</b>. Zudem l&#228;sst sich Nginx jetzt auch als Kubernetes Ingress Controller einsetzen, um Anwendungen in einem Kubernetes-Cluster von au&#223;en erreichbar zu machen.<!– AUTHOR-DATA-MARKER-BEGIN –>
